The Dallas County Records Building Renovation is a transformative historic preservation project that revitalizes one of the county’s most significant public facilities. Project Highlights
Added nearly 40,000 square feet of new floor area to enhance functionality and accommodate future growth.
Removed and reconstructed all floors above Level 4, aligning the three historic buildings to improve accessibility, circulation, and operational efficiency.
Preserved and protected the building’s historic exterior façade, maintaining its architectural character and cultural significance.
Installed more than 900 tons of structural steel to strengthen and modernize the facility.
Restored and upgraded all 542 historic windows to exceed current energy efficiency standards while preserving the building’s original appearance.
