Estimated Project Budget $138 Million

This project is reviving the Dallas County Records Building by renewing each of its three historic buildings. The complex will provide a unique intersection of the old and the new and a simultaneous encapsulation of the past, present and future of Dallas County.

• Just under 40,000 square feet of additional floor area is being added to the overall floor plan
• All floors above level 4 will be removed and replaced to line up between the three buildings to make access between the buildings easier and to improve the overall function of the structure
• The building’s façade will be protected and preserved so that its historic appearance remains
• Over 900 tons of structural steel will be added to the building’s structure
• All 542 windows will be restored and upgraded to exceed the energy code
